• 第一碼 6：完全防塵，可有效防止灰塵及微粒進入箱體。
• 第二碼 7：可承受短時間浸水，一般為水深約 1 公尺、30 分鐘內仍能維持防護性能。

因此，IP67 並不代表可以長時間浸泡於水中，而是具備良好的防水、防塵能力，可因應多數戶外及工業使用環境。

One of the most common questions we receive is: "Do I need an IP67 protective case?" The answer is not necessarily. The most appropriate protective case should be selected based on the equipment’s operating environment, transportation conditions, and protection requirements—not simply by choosing the highest available rating.

What Does IP67 Mean?

IP (Ingress Protection) is an international standard that defines the level of protection against dust and water. For IP67, the first digit (6) represents complete protection against dust ingress, while the second digit (7) represents protection against temporary immersion in water (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes).

When Is an IP67 Case Recommended vs. Unnecessary?

IP67 protection is highly recommended for UAV systems, Ground Control Stations (GCS), defense equipment, semiconductor instruments, optical measurement tools, and medical devices operating in harsh outdoor environments. Conversely, for controlled indoor environments such as manufacturing facilities, laboratories, offices, and standard data centers, a lower protection level or specialized transit case may offer optimal cost-efficiency.
